Birds in a Tree

BIRDS IN A TREE

Trees are fixed abodes for birds, animals, and people.
The branches, reaching out like arms, draw all
creatures to the tree’s body. Trees cannot move so life
comes to them.

Birds and trees are a living composite image. There is
an integral relationship between them for they belong
equally to heaven and to earth. Birds coming to trees,
birds leaving trees, bird song in silent trees – these
are moments when nature herself is the purest poetry –
essential movement creating primordial sound out of
primordial silence.
