The tree of life, rooted in the centre of God’s garden,
expands through the ages and finally bursts through the
limitations of cyclic time into end-time. For the tree
planted in Eden, at earth’s sacred centre, is destined
for final realization in the sacred centre of heavenly
Jerusalem. The tree is drawn up through time and then
passes out of time, into eternity by way of the cross,
the crux, the passage point. Christ, Beginning and End,
binds the two realities, the two sacred places.
